Timeline
Transforming our business processes and the solutions that support them is lengthy
but worthwhile undertaking. A 'go-live' (or timing for which we anticipate our new
solutions to be ready for use by our broader institution community) of December 2022,
provides the opportunity to ensure that the systems and processes we configure support
the current and future needs of our faculty, staff and students. Moreover, it affords
our district and college project team members and contributors with the time they
need to allocate to project related deliverables, while continuing to serve our students
and RCCD community.
Below you will find a quick summary about where we are with each aspect of Project
Nexus.
The Student Team recently completed:
-
-
- Continuing to progress through Data Spin 1 (validating RCCD data in the new solution);
and
- Introducing the project team to the functionalities to support automated workflows
and additional real-time integrations.
Next, this team will be focused on:
-
-
- Continuing to address any issues logged by the project team in Spin 1, while working
toward Spin 2 validation
- Requirements gathering and initial configuration of student portal
- Development of packaged integrations to support connections to other systems in use
at RCCD

The Reach Team is currently:
-
-
- Utilizing Reach for the Foster Youth and Adult Education programs
Next, this team will be focused on:
-
-
- Leveraging the phase 1 functionality of Reach for outreach purposes of prospective
students.

The Finance & HCM Teams recently completed:

-
- Designing elements to support invoicing and purchase orders;
- Progress on integration efforts between the new finance system and Galaxy; and

discussion
Next, this team will continue to focus on:
-

elements like invoices, checks and reports; and
