RCC Partners with Feeding America for Food Distribution

Riverside City College is partnering with Feeding America Riverside, San Bernardino (FARSB) to host a food distribution on Friday, May 29 from 8 -10:30 am. With the help of RCC and community volunteers, the FARSB team expects to fill over 1,000 cars, providing families with nonperishable food boxes and a box of fresh produce.

Distribution will take place at the corner of Magnolia and Ramona avenues. Recipients are not required to provide information. The food is free and is meant as supplemental assistance, each car will receive the same amount of food while supplies last.

Families without access to a vehicle or considered at-risk can receive emergency assistance through FARSB's home-bound delivery program. Community members can sign up for a one-time emergency delivery at www.FeedingIE.org/get-help.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, over half of FARSB's partners had to temporarily close their doors. In response, FARSB introduced weekly emergency drive-through food distributions to help meet the needs of families in the Inland Empire.

FARSB provides food to over 200 partner charity organizations throughout the Inland Empire, leading the fight against hunger by providing food, emergency relief, education, and advocacy to families in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
