MVC, Sheriff, CHP, Cal Fire Hold 9/11 Observance


Moreno Valley College, in conjunction with the Riverside County's Sheriff, Cal Fire and the California Highway Patrol, held a 19-minute observance of September 11 at the Ben Clark Training Center. The observance, which was attended by current cadet classes as well as dignitaries, included presentation of colors, pledge of allegiance, presentation by Don Camp, ringing of the bell at the exact time the first WTC tower was struck, a moment of silence, reading of a Fireman's Poem and the singing of the national anthem and God Bless America by Sheriff Service Officer Lacey Young.
