Contractors at Moreno Valley College are nearing the 50% completion mark on the new Student Academic Services building.
The $20 million facility, which is being built next to the Humanities building, completes a quadrangle that includes the Student Services building and the Library. The 38,000 sq. ft., three-story building will provide additional classrooms, a large student assembly room, an instructional media center, faculty offices, and the college president’s office. A slide presentation of the building and floor plan can be found at http://www.mvc.edu/files/Construction-SSS.pdf
“It’s very exciting to know that we will reach the half-way mark by the end of the year,” said Dr. Sandy Mayo, president of Moreno Valley College. “We are right on schedule to be finished by mid-September 2013.”
Moreno Valley College is designated as the health sciences campus within the Riverside Community College District and is home to several top-ranked allied health career technical programs, as well as comprehensive liberal arts and science transfer courses.
