The James Irvine Foundation awarded a grant to the USC Center for Urban Education to fund the Diversity Scorecard Project. In December 2000, RCC agreed to participate in the project and appointed a team to develop a Diversity Scorecard for the District. The project represents a partnership of private and public, two-year and four-year postsecondary institutions. Each institution committed to utilizing existing institutional data to report and monitor progress toward excellence and equity for historically underrepresented ethnic minority students in four areas: access, retention, excellence, and institutional receptivity.
