Trinda Best is the Interim Vice Chancellor, Human Resources and Employee Relations of the Riverside Community College District. Best began her career in human resources at the Riverside County Office of Education, serving as the Personnel Coordinator and Affirmative Action Officer. She then worked at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut as the Director of Human Resources/Professional & Organizational Development. Since leaving Mt. SAC in 2010, Best has had stops at Barstow Community College, Victor Valley Community College in Victorville and Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista. Each entailed serving in a leadership role in human resources.

With more than 30 years of leadership experience in human resources, Best has recently been providing services to various clients, including the State Chancellor’s Office. Her focus has been on developing and implementing statewide discrimination complaint procedures and developing a model for Equal Employment Opportunity Plans. She also has extensive experience creating policies and procedures and developing training teams in order to provide human resources and employee relations services.

Best attended the University of La Verne, earning an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Public Administration. She has been active in the local community, serving as a former board member of the YWCA in Riverside. Currently. Best is involved in several professional associations as a member and distinguished leader.
