RCC Study Abroad Offers Exploration, Education and Enjoyment
Imagine exploring the Renaissance art and architecture of Florence, Italy, or the treasures of Imperial China in Beijing.
Fascinating adventures await those who participate in RCC’s Study Abroad program.
Study Abroad is an excellent opportunity for students and the community to learn new customs, lifestyles and languages while earning college credit. The experience allows participants to build worldwide partnerships and prepares them to take their place in an increasingly global community.
Study Abroad offers full semester programs in the fall and spring and two-week summer study tours. This spring will be the first trip to Beijing while RCC students have traveled to Florence in the fall for 17 years. No two trips are the same because the itinerary depends on the instructors who are chosen to attend. For example, this year’s trip to Florence is facilitated by professors in geography and theater. Visitors to China will learn from the perspectives of political science and philosophy. Language study is a part of every trip.
RCC’s Study Abroad program is open to students from any community college or university and to the public as well.
Two-week summer study tours are designed for students, faculty, staff and the community to get a taste of exotic destinations such as Prague, Budapest, Greece, Turkey and Morocco while earning one unit of college credit.
In addition to the academic and personal enrichment Study Abroad offers, graduate schools and employers look favorably on students who have enhanced their perspective by studying overseas.
