Beacon on the Hill
Moreno Valley College (accredited 2010) was established in 1992 as a campus in the Riverside City College District. The college serves more than 10,000 students and the surrounding communities of Moreno Valley, Perris, Mead Valley and unincorporated parts of Riverside County.
Designated as the District’s health, human and public services college, MVCC offers industry-pointed certificate and associate degree programs in such fast growing fields as medical assisting, dental hygiene and dental assisting, speech language pathology, and health care technician; supports established programs in business, computer information, gaming and community interpretation; and provides comprehensive liberal arts and science core programs.
The College also partners with public agencies at the nearby Ben Clark Public Safety and Training Center to offer several of the region’s top emergency response programs in law enforcement, fire technology, and EMS. In September, MVC will open a new Dental Education Building and continues to leverage local bond money for construction and renovation of classrooms, laboratories and other facilities.
Moreno Valley College’s location in the heart of the City of Moreno Valley and in close proximity to a major healthcare center positions it as a premier higher education and training institution for students pursuing careers in high-demand allied health fields, as well as transfer-oriented students who plan to go on to four-year colleges and universities.
